About the Series:
How best to serve the needs of culturally diverse students with different learning abilities and levels of engagement and motivation is a key challenge for most teachers. Some studies show that some students lack social-emotional skills and become less willing to participate in school, especially in senior secondary school. These demotivated attitude and disconnected thought can adversely affect student’s academic performance, peer relationship, emotional development and health. With these problems, we need to promote wellbeing proactively in schools in order to decrease stress and anxiety and to increase self-efficacy, self-esteem and optimism. In this series, the concept of Positive Education brings together the science of Positive Psychology with best practice teaching to encourage and support students, staff, schools and communities to flourish.
